This is not a complete list, but states several changes which could impact many security providers. Get into touch with me for more information. See the link below for a clean copy of all the new changes
Recently DPSST has gone to a system of looking at a persons overall moral fitness. DPSST will not tell you if you will pass a background check until you apply. Generally, you may refer to DPSST's disqualification list for a list of crimes that will disqualify an applicant. Also, multiple arrests that did not result in convictions may disqualify an individual. If you have questions, please contact me directly
DPSST trainers are only required to provide the block of instruction and copy of the manual, administer the test and practical and provide the PS6 training affidavit. Generally, it remains the responsibility of the employer or provider to obtain fingerprints and certifying affidavit, have their PS1 application notarized and mail the application packet to DPSST. I provide the fingerprinting service and notary service for $10.
In the event your fingerprints are rejected and they were taken by me, contact me directly for resolution. If they were taken by someone else, another card will need to be submitted to DPSST before your packet can proceed. In either case, contact DPSST direcly and notify them you received the notice and are resolving the situation.
Something is wrong with your packet that was submitted to DPSST. Contact DPSST and let them know you received the notice. If your training was though me, contact me right away so we can resolve the problem. Keep your notice handy as it will tell us what needs to be fixed.
